We are delighted that you consider Govt. VYT PG Auto. College Durg, the only institute of Chhattisgarh to be accredited with A+ by NAAC Bangalore ,to start and further your academic higher education. Ever since its inception in 1958 the institute is driven by the guiding principle of providing a holistic atmosphere while imparting good quality education to the students. For its unparalleled achievements in the fields of academics, research, curricular and extracurricular activities the institute was given the status of College with Potential for Excellence -Phase III and was able to make a place in top 20 renowned institutes of Higher Education of India declared by the Ministry of Human Resources.
The spread of coronavirus had a great disrupting effect on all our lives and led to the suspension of in-person teaching and leadership in the institute. The college fraternity, during these testing times, worked tirelessly to achieve as seamless a transition as possible and made exemplary efforts of providing an online learning experience to not only the students of the institute but also to the students of remote and interior areas of Chhattisgarh. It is very joyous to see the college campus again abuzz with life and activity, surmounting the brief shadow in education caused since 2020.
The institution believes that Education is a life-long investment and must be easily accessible to all. Continuous improvement in education, implanting humanistic and social values fostering global competencies is our priority. This has motivated us to introduce Yoga and a number of Value-added, Certificate, and Diploma courses. We firmly believe that “while educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their heart”-Dalai Lama. This empowers them to develop their self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-confidence. The institution flanked by experienced and dedicated faculty and administrative staff continues to strive to provide standard and affordable education that will empower the students to lead a meaningful life and make meaningful contributions to society.
The institution has been quite successful in bridging the gap between education and industry. Many students have been successful in getting placed in the Chhattisgarh State Higher Education.
